The purpose of the Skills for Life (SfL) Strategy Group is to bring together policy makers, planners and practitioners involved in the sub-regional implementation of Central Government's SfL Strategy in order to:

• identify key drivers within the sub-region with reference to regional and national developments
  
  
• track developments within the regional strategy for economic development as it impacts on SfL
  
  
• highlight key issues related to the sub-regional implementation of the SfL in relation to social inclusion and employment
  
  
• act as a forum for consultation on proposed plans and actions related to planning and implementation of the SfL Strategy
