Combat Flight Sickness

Whether you are travelling to Portugal property for sale or you're on your way to business in Rome, if you suffer from air sickness, your journey is unlikely to be a pleasant one. Fortunately for you, flight induced nausea is not without its remedies and one of the following should help you to enjoy a more comfortable trip.

To start with, it is always a good idea to ask for seats towards the front of the plane. This will make for a smoother ride with less turbulence and that should help to keep you feeling relatively stable.

In addition, it's a good idea to bring a few provisions with you onto the plane. Once you have cleared security, buy yourself a bottled drink. Choose sparkling water or a clear, fizzy soda. If you can, bring a little fresh ginger along; this has a natural anti-nausea effect and can be chewed if you begin to feel queasy.

If you are on an airline that doesn't serve food, you might also want to make sure you bring something to nibble along with you. Opt for simple, dry foods; crackers are a good idea, and so is plain bread. If there are in-flight meals, avoid heavy options and go for light, easy-eating foods.

It may also be a good plan to take a motion sickness medication before you get onto the plane. There are many of these available today and they come in a wide variety.
